WHY DO WE NEED BOTH A CREAM ROUGE AND A POWDER BLUSH ROUGE?

How and where is the best way to apply it for your most exciting look?

Cream Rouge is applied after applying a foundation (if you wear one) but must be applied before “powdering down” your finished look. Once you “powder down” Cream Rouge cannot be applied over it.

Powder Blush Rouge is applied after makeup is complete - after finishing powder is applied. Adds color to spots that might have been missed and can be used for a little more color throughout the day.

Why do we need both? Cream Rouge blends smoothly and evenly over your skin or foundation. Once your makeup is finished and you need a little more color use Powder Blush. Leave your Cream Rouge at home and carry your Blush.

Rouge is worn to obtain a “glow”—the same glow the sun might give you, and in more or less the same places. This holds true no matter what your age or type of face.

Every type face can follow these rouge rules:

Step 1)

With one or two fingers tap Cream Rouge lightly then tap fingers across the cheek from ear to the nose. There should be more color toward the center of cheeks and then blended down toward lower cheek, up a little above the cheek bone and blended out to the ears. Blend the edges so that there is no line of demarcation. Use a little less rouge toward the nose. This gives a very natural glow.

Rouge can be a little darker as you go toward the center of the cheekbone. Make sure all edges are blended softly into foundation.

Step 2)

Now ever-so-lightly blend a touch of rouge on the tip of the chin and center of the neck to make your head look like it belongs to your body. Your makeup in general will appear more natural looking.

Step 3)

Last – with fingers apply a touch of rouge on your forehead at the hairline... blend downward leaving no line of demarcation.

Step 4)

Lightly apply facial powder over skin which helps blend the rouge and tones down the shine.

Step 5)

Powder Blush Rouge. After you have finished your makeup step back and see if you have enough color. Now is the time to use powder blush if you missed a spot or just need more color in general. Ever-so-lightly – with a blusher brush, add a touch of Powder/Blush Rouge… you are putting powder on powder and will look terrific.
